The Weather Curiosity

Everyone whether they like it or not is interested in the weather. You may not think so, but the fact you are on this webpage shows you are. Before we set out to go to the Shops, Work or out to do our hobbies. Fishing, Cricket, Astronomy and sailing as examples. We always check the weather. Whether we watch it on the news, listen to it on the radio, or of course the weather apps on our mobiles. What is it going to be like, do I take a coat, or just go out in shorts and ‘T’ shirt. Do I take an Umbrella or a sun hat. Will the cricket match be called off, Do I need to take my waterproofs on the golf course. While serving in the Royal Navy, I use to check the weather forecast to see if the departure from port was going to be a ‘lumpy’ one. So yes, like you that has bothered to read this, I always look at the weather. The weather in one location, e.g Plymouth, can also vary. On one side of Plymouth (Ernesettle) we might wake up in the morning with Fog caused by our near location to the river Tamar, Yet just going up the lane we enter bright sunshine. On other occasions there may be rain in Ernesettle, but on Plymouth Hoe, bright sunshine. So this local weather station belongs to the weather underground network. Keen amateur meteorologists who have set up like myself, a weather station on their property, allowing, hopefully, a more precise weather report.
